words

by Robert Allen

crazily tapping the dust

and I do not stumble;

These letters leap up,

my voice rises with them

and my voice screams: joy.

Robert Allen lives with his family in Northern California where he writes poems, takes long walks, and looks at birds.  More at www.robertallenpoet.com
