to prevent accidental death
by Zoe Davis
I bathe these tired bones in rice
it will take the worst of me to
drain soul to higher function
baptise brow with single grain
all I have left this scrap I wrote
four letters claimed and placed
inside a necklace, name myself twice
collared introspection
look, if you squint
you can see me
here.
